Budapest & Tokaj Hotels

The Hankinco Team has finalized bookings at two incredible hotels for our 2023 Hungary Adventure! We’re pleased to share information about each property, the associated amenities, and arrival information. Please reach out any time with questions. We can’t wait to welcome you to our fabulous Budapest & Tokaj hotels!

The perfect blend of old-world opulence and modern luxury in the heart of Budapest.

Situated in the heart of downtown Budapest, the Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel is a mixture of old-world opulence and modern luxury. It is well positioned with close connections to Metro stops and many of our daily excursions in Budapest. The hotel has also been hosting the city’s artists and poets for over a century. We’ll spend the first five nights comfortably pampered at this stunning hotel. During your time you’ll enjoy breakfast at the historic New York Café, and each meal will feature traditional Hungarian music, as you bask in Budapest splendor.

The hotel offers a vast array of complementary amenities for all guests: You can relax in the soaking pool, enjoy a sauna or steam bath, or work off last night’s goulash at a world-class gym.

When you’re not partaking in the delights of the city, we encourage you to indulge in further pampering, such as spa or massage services (spa services and prices shared in the link below). Please reach out to the Hankinco team for advance booking. There is also a Poets’ Bar conveniently located downstairs if you find yourself wanting a nibble or a local spirit at the end of the day.

Each room is outfitted with a king or a pair of twin beds (depending on your preferences) and also features:

  • Robe and slippers

  • Shower cap

  • Shampoo, conditioner, lotion

  • Body wash and hand soap

  • Hair dryer

  • Illy coffee machine

  • Air conditioner

  • LED TV with international channels

  • Marble bathtub

  • Indoor soaking pool

  • Sauna and Steam Bath Facilities

  • State of the art gym

  • Daily entertainment featuring Hungarian folk musicians and contemporary artists

Laundry services are also available for a fee.

A stunning 19th-century inspired country estate on the grounds of one of Hungary’s most celebrated wineries.

After five days in Budapest, we’ll retreat to the Eastern countryside and take up residence in the beautiful Gróf Degenfeld Wine Estate and Castle Hotel. “Gróf” means count – and indeed the hotel is owned, and has been recently renovated, by a noble family that includes Countess Degenfeld. We’ll spend a relaxing three days at this chateau-style estate in the UNESCO World Heritage Region of Tokaj (“TO-kigh”), featuring some of the best wines that Hungary has to offer.

While in residence, your rooms will all be outfitted with antique furniture, elegant armchairs, old paintings, and Venetian chandeliers, all of which will serve to remind you of your temporary home in a 19th-century estate. Hankinco will be taking over most of the 40-acre estate, and our guests will have access to multiple amenities:

Robe and slippers

  • Shower cap

  • Shampoo, conditioner, lotion

  • Body wash and hand soap

  • Hair dryer

  • Air conditioner

  • LED TV with international channels

  • Marble bathtub

  • Outdoor heated pool

  • Sauna facilities

  • Tennis court (equipment provided)

  • Chapel

  • Walking paths through the vineyards

  • Pétanque court (equipment provided)

  • Two reading rooms / salons

  • Poolside bar

While encamped at Degenfeld, we’ll be offering two wine-tasting dinners, accompanied by a sommelier who will give us a tour of the winery. Respect the mold! (You will come to understand the ecosystem that pervades this wine region, which is unique to Tokaj and certain wine-growing areas of Paris.)
